Antares Back Shim Precision Helmet

Helmet shim description

This liner pad is designed to fit the Précision riding helmet. It stops it feeling like the helmet is rocking backwards or forwards. The velour fabric means the shim is removable, so there's space for you to wear a ponytail or tuck your hair inside the helmet.

You can fit 2 pads together to increase the total thickness.

It's washable too.

Available in 2 thicknesses: 4mm or 8mm, and 2 sizes: S/M and M/L.

Fitting guide

1. Remove the back of the liner from the velcro.

2. Line the shim up with the top and side edges of the inner shell. Position the velour loop side against the inner shell's velcro.

3. Put the liner back into its original position. The liner's velour loops naturally fasten onto the shim’s hooks.

How to choose the right size Précision riding helmet?

Here are some key criteria to achieve the perfect fit. Your riding helmet should:

- Sit no more than 2cm above your eyebrows.
- Hug the shape of your head firmly with no pressure points.
- Stay in place when you move your head, even if the chin strap isn't fastened.
