100% pure rice root on 7 3/8'' varnished wood back. Great cleansing brush. Made in England. Mexican Whisk, or Rice Root, is probably the best deep cleansing material there is. It penetrates the coat extremely well, but it is gentle too. Rice root is used extensively for grooming cattle as well as horses. Rice Root should ALWAYS be THOROUGHLY SOAKED before use.

    Good brush to have on hand but bristles will not stand up to the test of time unless they are wetted before use.

    Great multi-purpose brush

    One of my favourite brushes because it has multi uses- I use it as a wash brush, to brush/dampen/flatten manes for pulling, and as mudbuster on the coat and legs. Just make sure to soak before use as the rice fibres are brittle otherwise.
