Help your horse stay calm and focused with SynChill Daily Calming Pellets!
SynChill™ is now available in a daily oral treat, in 30-scoop or 120-scoop sizes. SynChill Daily™ pellets provide a safe and easy way to help you and your horse deal with stressful situations. Like SynChill™ Oral Gel, SynChill Daily™ is a proprietary blend of natural ingredients developed for the horse that needs regular help coping with anxiety and nervousness. Supplementing daily helps the key ingredients reach the brain at a higher level and provide a more constant increase in brain serotonin. SynChill™ daily also incorporates L-theanine, which has an anxiolytic effect independent of brain serotonin production. We consider this all-natural combination to be a synergistic approach to promoting the feeling of well-being to the nervous or anxious horse. SynChill Daily™ is provided in a palatable alfalfa-based pellet, sealed in a vacuum-packed 30-scoop pouch. Recommended supplementation is 1-2 scoops daily, 1-4 hours before stressful events. One scoop is the most typical supplementation level.
More detailed information
Although 5-HTP readily crosses the blood-brain barrier (one of the key factors making it superior to tryptophan in an equine calming product) some is metabolized to serotonin in the peripheral tissues. Also, there is some “holding capacity” of 5-HTP by the gut epithelium. Once this capacity is reached, more 5-HTP is absorbed into the circulation and reaches the brain more readily. Daily dosing can help maintain this level and improve the horse’s response. L-theanine has been shown to reduce anxiety by enhancing hippocampal activity. These effects are associated with reduced glutamine and increased methionine in the cerebrospinal fluid and are in addition to the effects of 5-HTP. As “flight animals” by nature, some horses' natural protective mechanisms to fear, anxiety, and confusion can be overwhelming. The need to flee danger can override very good training in very good horses, in some situations. Individual horses have their own unique needs and some can benefit more than others from anxiolytic, or calming supplements. Some horses may need constant help while others may need only occasional or temporary stress relief since very horse has individual characteristics and personalities. SynChill™ can help improve your horse’s sense of well-being and improve the horse-person relationship for both of you.
