I have an OTTB who likes to shove his nose in the air and doesn't break at the poll very nicely. I only had snaffle bits or a pelham on hand. The pelham proved to be way too much bit. I bought a baucher at the advice of a friend and LOVE it. My horse goes very nicely in it a drops his head to a more manageable level without fussing. I would advise people to try this before gadgets like draw reins.
I have tried this bit with two different horses who tend to ignore a plain snaffle. I was pleased with the results and the horses were okay with it too. And it's pretty!
