Farnam Swat Clear Fly Ointment

Farnam Swat Fly Repellant Clear Ointment protects wounds, open sores, scratches and abrasions from dirt and disease-carrying flies. For horses, ponies and dogs. 6 oz.

  • Botanically-derived pyrethrin formula repels and kills on contact
  • Effective against house flies, stable flies, face flies and horn flies
  • Ideal for face and ears too
  • Can be reapplied daily for continuous protection

DIRECTIONS: It is a violation of Federal law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling. Do not apply directly over cuts, wounds, or irritated skin, apply only to areas around the cut, wound, or irritation. Use daily. Do not use on animals under 12 weeks. Consult a veterinarian before using this product on debilitated, aged, pregnant, nursing, or medicated animals. Sensitivities may occur after using ANY pesticide product for pets. If signs of sensitivity occur, bathe pet with mild soap and rinse with large amounts of water. If signs continue, consult a veterinarian immediately. Do not use on horses or foals intended for slaughter. Do not apply near eyes and mouth. Apply sparingly around ears. Wash hands with soap and water promptly after use.

    I keep this in my first aid kit and it goes on any of my mare's scrapes during the summer. My vet also recommended it. It keeps her wounds free of flies, and clean.

    Helps my mare's cuts heal faster because the flies cannot irritate it, and helps prevent her from getting hives from bug bites. Good buy!

    Considered a summer time must-have! Works great for horses who react to the little no-seeums. Helps repel for no new bites while giveing the old ones time to heal up.

    Keeps the bugs out

    Keeps the flies off my mare's ears and any scrapes. I have no problem with it but there are a few horses in barn I board at who are severly allergic to it. So if you have never used it- use under a watchful eye until you know your horse won't have a bad reaction.

    This product is great for wounds to keep the flies away, however the pink formula (as ridiculous as it looks) is nice to see when it needs to be reapplied.
