New Brand Spotlight:
Majyk Equipe
Majyk Equipe, a dynamic horse protection and equestrian lifestyle company based in California, USA, is all about pushing boundaries. Their focus lies in crafting innovative designs and technologies that elevate the experience for both horses and riders. With a team boasting years of experience in designing athletic wear for humans, having worked with top Fortune 500 companies worldwide, they realized that the principles applied to human performance could also revolutionize the world of horses.
They noticed that the materials used in human sports equipment were light years ahead of what was commonly used for horses. This realization fueled their determination to make a change. As horse owners, they understood the emotional and financial toll of injuries, and they knew there had to be better options available. That's why they set out to create a line of equestrian products that utilized superior, eco-friendly materials, even if they came at a higher cost. Their commitment to quality led them to develop neoprene-free liners and employ construction techniques that may require more steps, but are necessary to meet the high standards that both horses and riders deserve. Their groundbreaking technologies have set new benchmarks in the industry.
What sets Majyk Equipe apart from other equestrian brands is their comprehensive approach. They design, engineer, source, and manufacture everything from scratch. Unlike many companies that purchase ready-made horse tack from factories supplying multiple brands, they believe that creating horse protective wear demands a deep understanding of every element involved. That's why they specialize in this field.
Their commitment to excellence ensures that you will never come across exact duplicates of their products. They are proud to be unique, and their products truly reflect the expertise and passion poured into their creation. Majyk Equipe is here to redefine the equestrian industry, one innovative product at a time.
What Makes Majyk Equipe Different?
Majyk Equipe does not use neoprene in any of their products. Neoprene traps heat and can harbor bacteria, fungus, and irritants. Instead, they use lightweight bio foam that is antibacterial, antifungal, and repels dust and water.
Majyk Equipe takes technology seriously.
Boots
Outer Material: Majyk Equipe boots are made with BASF TPU, ensuring a durable and flexible outer layer that remains consistent over time.
Inner Liner: Majyk Equipe prioritizes the health and safety of horses, which is why boots are Neoprene free. Excessive heat build-up can lead to tendon damage, a common cause of lameness in horses. That's why their boots feature two types of inner material. The first is a lightweight and breathable eco-friendly bio foam that repels water and dust, providing a soft and comfortable fit. This foam is used in their Cross Country and Vented Infinity TPU series. For their Dressage boots, they use the same family of foam but with an added impact protective element. Both types of liners are hypoallergenic, ensuring the well-being of sensitive horses and minimizing the risk of allergic reactions often associated with traditional foams.
The inner strike guards incorporate a revolutionary technology called ARTi-LAGE. This proprietary material has the unique ability to change its molecular state upon impact. Normally soft and pliable, it instantly hardens to dissipate energy when struck. This makes it ideal for equine use, allowing horses to move naturally during exercise while providing immediate protection against hard strikes. Majyk Equipe is the exclusive provider of ARTi-LAGE protection, setting them apart from other equestrian products. In tests, ARTi-LAGE has proven to outperform other leading protection foams.
Girths
Majyk Equipe not use neoprene in any of their girths. Neoprene is a material commonly used in wetsuits to trap heat and insulate the skin. Despite its popularity in equine products due to its low cost and easy availability, they have made the decision to avoid using it in their products. Neoprene can harbor bacteria and fungus, and it may contain irritants that could transfer to your horse's coat. This is particularly important when using tack on multiple horses. While some claim that breathable neoprene exists, it is essentially neoprene with perforated holes to improve breathability, but it is not as breathable as materials specifically designed for that purpose. Additionally, tests have shown that limestone neoprene actually retains more heat than regular neoprene, making it unsuitable for equine use.
At Majyk Equipe, they use a lightweight bio foam in their products, which is not widely available and costs more to manufacture than neoprene. This foam is antibacterial, antifungal, and helps repel dust and water. Most of their girths have removable liners, making it easy to clean the inner liner. The outer part of their girths is made with durable ballistic nylon reinforced with TPU plates, making them incredibly sturdy and capable of protecting against stud punctures.
