Administrative Assistant - Full Time

Job Overview: As an Administrative Assistant, you will work closely with the store owner and eCommerce manager to handle a variety of tasks, from creating purchase orders to managing customer inquiries. Your organizational skills and ability to multitask will be essential in helping us maintain high standards of service and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Purchase Orders & Inventory Management: Create and manage purchase orders and track inventory levels.
  • Product Management: Add new products to our system, including inputting descriptions and pricing. Ensure that product information is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Customer Service: Answer phone calls and emails professionally, assisting customers with inquiries, orders, and product information. Provide exceptional customer service to enhance the customer experience.
  • Order Fulfillment: Help with the processing of orders, including order allocation. Assist with receiving and incoming shipments.
  • Vendor Returns: Working with vendors on specific product related issues and following up to ensure credits are issued in a timely matter.
  • Consignment Saddles: Review incoming consignment saddles for quality and fair market value, upload saddle pictures and details to website, and communicate with consignment vendors on saddle status, pricing, and checks.
  • Special Events: Organizing prizes/ gifts, helping coordinate in-store special events (tack sale, midnight madness, easter hunt, black Friday, etc)
  • General Office Support: Provide administrative support including data entry, filing, etc..

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Previous experience in an administrative role, ideally in retail or eCommerce, is preferred. Horse/equestrian knowledge is strongly preferred.
  • Skills: Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen eye for detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with inventory management software is a plus.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to interact with customers and team members in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Customer-Focused: A commitment to providing outstanding customer service and the ability to handle customer inquiries and concerns effectively.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with the store owner, eCommerce manager, and other team members. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and tasks.

Retail Sales Associate - Full or Part Time

As a Retail Sales Associate at Equus Now!, you will play a key role in providing outstanding customer service and maintaining a welcoming store atmosphere. You will engage with customers, assist with their needs, and contribute to a positive and efficient shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service: Engage with customers, assist them in selecting products, and address their needs with enthusiasm and expertise.
  • Product Knowledge: Stay informed about equestrian brands, products, and events to offer accurate and up-to-date advice.
  • Sales and Goals: Drive towards achieving sales targets and goals, and actively seek opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products.
  • Store Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing store environment, including restocking shelves and arranging displays.
  • Checkout Operations: Operate the cash register, process transactions accurately, and handle cash and credit card payments.

Requirements:

  • Passion for Horses: A genuine interest in equestrian activities and a desire to help others with similar passions.
  • Goal-Oriented: A strong drive to achieve sales targets and personal goals. Sales experience preferred.
  • Knowledge Seeker: Actively seeks out information and stays current with the latest brands and events in the equestrian world.
  • Technical Skills: Comfortable using computing systems for sales and inventory management.
  • Flexible Availability: Willingness to work a variety of hours, including weekends.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift and carry merchandise up to 50lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform tasks that may involve bending, stretching, or reaching.
